It's that time of the year again!  Leicester's #1 escape room are holding our 2018 Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday at 12pm . We will be sprinkling 100 eggs around a secret location nearby, your task will be to find the destination, find as many eggs as you can then report back to Escape Asylum HQ for an official count!  Will there be prizes? Of course! It's that time of the month again where we take a look back over the month of February and congratulate our fastest players! During February all 3 quickest times were set in the second half of the month and the fastest times for Cirque Du Slay and Asylum even came on the same day, not by the same team I might add!  So lets take a look at this months winners. Asylum - Louisa Dunk's team set the record this month with an impressive 21 minutes and 13 seconds remaining. Cabin - Lauren Gray 16 minutes 58 seconds left on the clock, beating January's fastest time by over 2 minutes! Cirque Du Slay - Tom Bennett 19 minutes 36 seconds - Tom won January's competition for his super quick time in Asylum, obviously an escape pro! Another first in the Escape Asylum history books!  We have teamed up with Spirits Bar to offer the UK's first escape rooms and fully licensed bar. But how will you fit this all into your venue in St Martins Square I hear you scream! The short answer is, we can't... That is why we have agreed a deal to move into a new premises 30 seconds away, so there will be no excuses for not coming to visit!  We are currently on schedule to open 1st April, so keep checking our social media accounts for updates. In true Escape Asylum fashion you can expect something a little bit different as it will not have your traditional bar look, but we will let you see for yourselves once we open! Calling all competition lovers! Who loves free stuff? That's right, EVERYONE!  There has been a terrible incident at Escape Asylum, Evelyn's baby has gone missing!  This Saturday 3rd February at 11:30am we are calling on everyone in Leicester to help us locate her baby and put her restless spirit at ease. Evelyn is feeling generous and has said that whoever finds her lost child first will receive a  free game for them and their team.  So join us this Saturday at our shop in St Martins Square at 11:30am to begin the search. At Escape Asylum we pride ourselves on doing things a bit differently from all the other standard escape rooms.  We often set goals with the aim to be the first in what we do, sometimes even the competitors follow our paths and ideas, which is always flattering!  So, as well as being Leicester's first escape room venue and bringing game themes that were previously unseen in the area, we decided that as of next today, January 27th, we will be setting another first. We will be the FIRST escape room in the UK to accept BITCOIN and LITECOIN as payment for our rooms!  Great news for all you cryptocurrency fans out there.  QR Codes and Wallet Addresses for both Bitcoin & Litecoin will be available in store or email. We are currently only accepting Bitcoin and Litecoin payments on phone bookings and bookings made in store.  Providing it is successful we intend to allow online bookings with Bitcoin and Litecoin too.  Remember to check this blog for updates!

Much like the great Founding Fathers etched into the side of Mount Rushmore, the founding partners of Escape Asylum have been immortalised by their creativity, once we find a big enough rock in Leicester we will commission some life size sculptures. Pioneers in their own right and blazing the trail for future escape rooms to prosper we feel it is only fair to bring you a little piece of their minds. So far they have kept a low profile, elusive characters as they seem a mythology has began to build around their existence, who has seen them? Have they really seen them? Where's the proof?  DO THEY EVEN EXIST?! Their names are apparently Dan Walford and Selina Topp, both names being an anagram for "Creative Genius", coincidence? I think not.
